Upon receiving a somewhat concerning message, Afda asked whether Felix and I would head to Littleguard to offer Vivi assistance. A rather curious woman by the name of Faylin will be accompanying us — odd as I do not know her, but she volunteered to help.
The three of us travelled from Kessin to Littleguard, stopping in Somagar, where we met a gentleman named Jorin, who worked in the forge. Faylin said something to him, I know not what, but whatever it was seemed to garner his attention, and he decided to join us.
Once we reached Littleguard, our first stop was the tavern, hoping to find Vivi there. While she was elsewhere, we happened upon Edmund, another member of the Cloth, who told us where to find her. He also divulged an issue he has been dealing with — corrupted grounds in the north — and would appreciate our assistance.
Jorin, who seems to be an apprentice smith, took an interest in my armor and asked where I had gotten it from. As it is father's work, I explained as much, and it seems he hopes to save up money to acquire one of father's pieces. The bit of fanfare was embarrassing, but something I should be used to by now, given everything.
Perhaps once we are finished offering our assistance to Vivi's fire elemental problem, we can help Edmund as well.
Before leaving the tavern, I made sure to grab the fliers for both requets as a reminder to us all.
Thanks to Edmund, we were able to find Vivi at the inn, where she confirmed her issue with the fire elementals, and we decided to head out after getting some much-needed rest. With the evening to ourselves, Jorin departed, having an interest in the local forge, and I sat with Vivi and Faylin before heading upstairs to Felix's room when Jorin returned, as Faylin wished to speak with us in private.
She showed us a rather interesting piece of wood that seemed to bear a rune. My knowledge of them is somewhat limited, but I recognized it as meaning hope. She also mentioned that she had received a cryptic message, saying to seek Felix and me out. I wished to ask more, but I cannot tell whether she is withholding information or knows as much as she has divulged.
With a long trek ahead of us, we all decided to turn in for the evening, where Felix and I shared a room as he had already paid coin for it.
Morning came swiftly, and the five of us began the four-day journey to where the fire elementals were.
The days were mostly uneventful. Some were hot for the season, while others were cooler. A caravan was heading in the same direction as us, and we happened upon it three of the four days. On the last day, we finally stopped to view the wares. The proprietor was a curious woman who seemed to take an interest in Faylin.
The shopkeeper had an intriguing bag, but I could not afford it. Perhaps we will happen upon her again in our travels, or someone else will have a similarly interesting bag.
Finally reaching the place Vivi had told us about, we had to climb down to find a way to turn off the magic keeping people out. There seemed to be golums guarding the grounds, and once we lifted the barrier, we tried to sneak past one, but I tripped over my own feet, drawing its attention.
Worried it might prove a threat, I reluctantly decided to engage with it alongside the others, but that seemed to be for naught as it healed from Felix's attacks. Seeing as it posed a bigger danger than we were prepared for, I commanded it to stand down, buying us time to escape into the building.
Following Faylin's lead, we managed to avoid all of the enemies that roamed the building. Her quick thinking and skill saved us from facing demons.
Now that we have passed them, we find ourselves in an abandoned bazaar with two attendants selling various items. Having worn my cloak through the sweltering heat of the hells, I selfishly bought a drink as I could not resist the temptation and desperately needed to cool down.

After this short rest, we hope to venture on.
